Bill Deming – 2,000,000 meters rowed!

Congratulations to Bill Deming, who has reached and surpassed 2,000,000 meters rowed on the Concept2 rowers! Bill reached his first 1,000,000 meters on August 21, 2012 at the age of 83! Now, he’s hit 2,000,000 before most of our rowers have reached their first million! Congratulations Bill. You are an amazing example of how to stay fit and healthy. We are so honored to have you here with us!  Keep up the good work!!

Sign up for classes online!

Shelburne Health & Fitness is pleased to offer online class sign-ups! Click here to view and sign up for classes.  The first time you visit, you’ll be asked to set up a username and password.  Once you get set up, we will need to verify your online access, so either give us a call at 985-4410 to let us know that your security needs to be verified (we’re serious about keeping your membership information secure) or give us 12-24 hours to verify your security.  Once that’s been done, you can click on “My Schedule” to see what you’ve already signed up for or to cancel out of a class that you are already registered for. Click on “Group Classes” to see the schedule and get signed up for any classes you’d like to attend.

You should know that you will either need to have a valid membership or punch card, OR you will have the opportunity to pay for the class online.  Let us know if you have any difficulty with your online experience.

Step Up & B Strong – Join our outdoor walking group on Wednesdays!

Step Up & B Strong! Join us Wednesdays at 8:30 am for a weekly walking group. A warm up, walk, stretching and some strength work will all be included.  Grab a friend and meet in the lobby of the club. If the weather isn’t so nice, we’ll take advantage of The Field House for some indoor fun.

This program is free for members.  Guests can join in for the price of a day pass or purchase a punch pass for 10 visits and save!

SHF is Pleased to Offer Fitness Assessments & Consultations

What is one of the best ways to spend 90 minutes at the gym?  Take advantage of a Fitness Assessment and Consultation.  We began offering these to brand new members at the beginning of March, and we’re now offering them to all members (short term and guests included)!  For only $45, you will go over your fitness history and goals, get tested in several areas of fitness, receive your results right away, and then get recommendations on how to improve where you may not already be strong.  Is it Flexibility?  Strength?  Cardiovascular health?  Body composition?  Stop guessing how to get to where you want to be.  After all, you can’t there without knowing where you are right now.
